How to Change Margins in Google Drive
Similar to other word processor suites, Google Drive enables you to change the width or height of margins to suit your preferences. These margins surround your document with empty areas that are measured in inches from the edges of the paper. Saving these changes as the default settings preserves your settings for any subsequent documents you create.
After you log in to Google Drive and open your document, you can access the margin settings by clicking "File" and then selecting "Page Setup." Along with the option to change page orientation, paper size and page color, you have separate fields for top, bottom, left and right margins. Entering a number in any of these fields creates a margin of that size in inches at the specified position. As an example, a 1.5-inch top margin creates a 1.5-inch gap from the top of the paper to the start of the text. Clicking "Set as Default" saves your settings for future documents and clicking "OK" applies your changes to the current document.
